Disclaimer: I’m not a scientist. But I do consider myself as a typical climate change “denier” and these are some of reasons why people like me distrust the whole climate change movement, and the science it’s based on.

To most of the kids out protesting these days, it might seem as if the climate debate is the most important issue of our time, but is it really?

I’ve been hearing alot about this issue during my 38 year long life. It was a major issue even before I was born, but back then it seemed as if the scientist were more affraid of a new ice age. The debate surrounding CO2 weren’t a huge factor back then, but the scientist of that period were also warning of a possible heating of the planet.

Earths climate and weather is extremely difficult to predict and we try to make these predictions today using the biggest super computers available, but we still don’t understand all the mechanism that drive the environment and natural processes.

The climate change movement and the mainstream media outlets fail to understand that the typical “climate change denier” doesn’t deny the climate is changing. Most of the “deniers” just don’t agree with how the climate is changing and why.

Why? Al Gore is one reason

Before we get into Al Gore and his place in all of this, it’s important to recognize that alot of the science ending up in mainstream news outlets are what we today call “sponsored content”. Many claims made by scientist are also hyped to gain as much interest as possible and that is because most researchers/universities only earn money, when their work is picked up by the mainstream media.

Al Gore and his documentary “Inconvenient Truth”

That’s where we get to Al Gore and the way he changed the debate and created the modern climate change movement. We might be hearing alot about Greta Thunberg these days, but Al gore is actually the one responsible for all the kids out protesting and pushing the climate change agenda.

With the famous hockey stick model, Al Gore was able to make people believe there was a connection between CO2 and what was then called “man made global warming”. At that point everything changed. Without much critique from the scientific community, Al Gore was able to build a movement based solely on the fact, that we humans, are the only ones responsible for the climate here on earth.

The famous “Hockey Stick” model

His documentary/presentation isn’t considered very scientific today and most researchers have since disproven his claims. But that hasn’t changed the debat, but a simple word play did. Because of the scientific problems surrounding anthropogenic global warming a PR decision was made. From that point on everybody started refering it to just “climate change”.

The failed predictions

By it being so difficult to predict the weather, it’s not shocking to learn that most predictions about our weather and climate end up being wrong. The early prediction of a coming ice age was wrong and the same can be said for most of the predictions made since Al Gore released his “Inconvenient Truth” documentary.

The wild predictions haven’t gone away and lately we’ve been witness to news articles claiming 15 to 20 foot rise in sea levels in the near future. Even claims of 50 foot rise in sea levels have been promoted.

After 50 years of misinformed, misguided, and mistaken predictions, is there any reason to believe that the current prophecies of global warming apocalypse are likely to come true?

They just don’t know

It might seem as if there is a consensus on CO2 and its impact on the environment, but some scientists are suggesting that there might be other reasons why our planet is heating or cooling. Some have suggested that the change in Earth’s orbital shift could be responsible for environmental changes we have seen in icecore data.

Lately we’ve seen alot of geo engineering related articles. Normally that would eventually end up in a chemtrail vs. contrail “conspiracy theory” debate, but this time the scientist aren’t talking about aerosol spraying or other typical forms of geo engineering.

In the paper “An extraterrestrial trigger for the mid-Ordovician ice age: Dust from the breakup of the L-chondrite parent body” published in Science Advances, researchers at the Field Museum in Chicago, Lund University in Sweden, and others, argue that the breakup of a major asteroid 466 million years ago filled the entire inner solar system with enormous amounts of dust that lead to an ice age.

That might not be surprising, but the same scientists are promoting the idea of replicating that event to “cool down” the Earth.

It has to to with everything else, but the environment

One of the first “solution” to CO2 problem was introduce taxes and other fees on industries and the products they sell. That just switched the burden to the taxpayers and the general consumer. Not the ones actually responsible for the claimed increase in CO2. The worlds richest people and companies produce over half the amount of CO2 and some estimates put that number way higher. But they aren’t the ones having to change their ways.

In the end, this policy is only hurting the middle- and lowerclass. The big companies and mega rich can just buy so-called “carbon credits” and manipulate their actual carbon footprint. These carbon credits have created a market where CO2 is traded just like any other commodity.

The climate change movement has lately introduced population control into their message and are now getting kids to promise to not have any babies in the future. All in the name of climate change.

The fake green sector

If we are to believe the UN and the climate change movement, we must ask why most the focus are being put on the western world and not the countries that have rising levels of CO2. The CO2 levels have been steadily going down in Europe and North America, yet it seems as if that’s where all the changes are needed.

Throughtout the last 30 years or so, we’ve seen a switch to a “green energy sector” and a focus to get away from fossil fuels. We might have removed some of our dependancy on oil, but it hasn’t made life cheaper or easier. Most small businesses struggle with all the latest regulations and all the extra fees, taxes etc. they have to pay. The typical consumer hasn’t seen any lowering of their electric bills even though most of the power is now coming from so-called green energy.

People are just now paying for wind, sunlight and other alternative forms of energy.

No faith in technology

As much as we are supposed to believe the climate change experts and their models, we must also ask why they don’t trust science to solve the problems. It seems as if, it’s only our behaviour and our society that can fix the so-called “climate crisis”. Not science.

Without going into alternative and future fuel/power sources, it’s fair to say that we likely already have the solutions to the problems our industrial and mass producing ways are creating.

And lastly

Since I’m not a scientist I want leave this opinion piece with a link to an article written by some with a bit more scientific credability than me. The article is called “The great failure of the climate models” and was published in august 2019 by Washington Examiner. You can read it by CLICKING HERE.
